Ambrolauri is a city in the highlands of Georgia. The administrative center of Ambrolauri municipality and the region of Racha-Lechkhumi and Lower Svaneti. The main activities of the population are wine-making and tourism. The city is famous for its rare wine Khvanchkara, for the production of which requires a unique microclimate and a special soil of the earth, which is possible only here. Beaches and recreational facilities are located on the Krihula River, the upper tributary of the river is called Cherula, it flows out of mountain caves and is attractive for hiking trips. Rachintsy historically are distinguished by their hospitality and temperate character. Known as excellent cooks, rachinsky dishes: rachinsky ham, lobiani, shkmeruli and, of course, without the famous "Khvanchkara"
